Botox does work for some people. Some doc’s have used it on pt’s w/intractable pain from spasms w/some success.
It’s a good idea, but it’s very expensive and only lasts a few months. If they’ve tried other remedies w/out success and you can afford to get them, it might be a good idea. There’s never any guarantees, but unlikely to make the cramps worse. Pros: may get some relief; doc’s use lowest possible dose and it is very expensive, so doubtful they would try it w/out believing they will have success. Cons: only lasts a few months; may not help @ all.
If you decide against it, you’ll never know. But before I make such a big decision I will have the doc’s provide me w/all the literature listing the pros & cons. Read it, discuss everything w/the docs and get all your questions answered. Don’t worry about sounding "stupid". Most of us are when it comes to our loved ones. Good luck.
Yes it will help. Botox is a chemical that freezes the muscles. So it might stop it. But, the cramps could be from low patacium he should try eating more bananas. Good Luck and I hope it gets better.
It will help relax the muscles temporarily, but I don’t know about the side effect….I don’t think that they are good though. I hope that he gets better and maybe try remedies, extra potassium supplements, lots of ripe bananas and date shakes or something like that
I don’t think it would be a permanent cure but will give relaxation temporarily, i have no idea about it’s side effects.
