I got Perlane (same as Resylane, only larger molecules so it lasts longer) yesterday afternoon. I had my labial folds and some tiny creases on my upper lip done. They said there would be some swelling but I was horrified to find that my upper lip looking like I got punched! Actually, it looked more like I had a bad overbite!! My husband says "you did something, didnt you. It doesnt look good". Needless to say I spent all night looking in the mirror and praying I wouldnt look deformed for the next 9 – 12 months. At 4:00am this morning I woke up, still freaked out, and read lots of forums on the internet. They all said the swelling would go down, so I finally went back to bed. I also took note of what I read about having the filler reversed. When I woke up later in the morning, I looked normal again Thank God! Although there is still some swelling today. Its only been 24 hours but I look normal again, and am now very happy with my results!!! I am really glad I did it! I used prescription numbing cream an hour before it was done so it wasnt too painful. Great stuff.

Try icing the swolen area, it may help to reduce the swelling.
