Anyone else have/had a baby that headbutts everything.?
My 9 month old always slams his head into things when he gets excited…from walls, the floor, the edge of his playpen to my face (nice huh? Had a swollen lip that looked like botox gone horribly wrong.) How do I get him to stop? I’m afraid he might seriously hurt himself.
Maybe try researching sensory perception disorder… it is a lot more common than people know (many have never even heard of it) there are no known causes, although there is some speculation that it is a genetic trait. Sensory perception disorders come in many forms… some kids hate to be touched at all, hate textures, etc… some kids ( like yours) need constant physical stimuli. Often with kids that have high sensory preferences, a weighted blanket helps calm them down (not over the face). It’s worth looking into anyway, good luck.
